Payment and Insurance
Insurance. Maurer Family Dental accepts most dental insurance and will process all of your claims for you. We cannot accept any Medicaid plans or dental HMOs.
We are not a preferred provider for any insurance plan which allows us to keep our relationship with you and not with your insurance provider. In almost all cases, your insurance company will still pay toward your treatment (we can determine this before your appointment), but you should be aware that it may not cover the entire cost of your visit. We file insurance claims for our patients and will help you to determine what your out-of-pocket costs will be (if any) as well as what will be due at the time of service. We are also happy to submit pre-treatment estimates for your treatment to your insurance company to help you in planning for the cost of your treatment, will help you to understand your estimated insurance payment, your estimated portion, your annual maximum, and your deductible. We will help you maximize the insurance benefits that you have already paid for.
If you do not have dental insurance, you may want to consider our membership plan!
We are happy to offer you several options to pay for your treatment.
We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
Financing. We offer 3-Month (on balances under $500) and 6-Month (on balances over $500) credit or debit payment plans. Your first payment will be due at the time of service. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to your card in equal payments on the same day each month. No finance charges will be applied to your account for participation in this payment option. Please ask for more details.
We also accept CareCredit. CareCredit is a line of credit that can be used for most health-related expenses and offers no interest for a promotional period of 6 months on balances under $300 or 12 months on balances of $300 and over. The CareCredit card IS a credit card and should be used responsibly and with the understanding that if the terms are not adhered to, fees and interest will be applied. But the benefit is that it can help you to spread your payments over a longer period of time at no interest if you are able to make the agreed-upon payments. More information on CareCredit is available in our office or at the CareCredit website.
Returned Checks. There is a $20 fee for all returned checks.
